I have been designing golf courses since I was in Junior High School. I remember creating
a course with plaster on an old door that we had. I put the door on the floor and began
molding the holes. After they had dried I went back and painted them. I used to do a lot
of layouts on paper back then, and that is how it all started. The first computer golf
design game that I had was JNSE back in the early 90's. I thought it was fantastic. I took
right to it and began designing courses. I was still using this when I walked into a store
in the spring of 1997 as saw Jack Nicklaus 4. I could not believe the graphics on the box;
and then I saw it - It had a course designer too! I was thrilled with it and began to
convert a few of the 90+ courses I had done with JNSE. Sea Breeze was my last JNSE course
and I released it in JN4. I have been very happy with JN5 / JN6 and look forward to major
designer changes in JN7. Since I mainly do course design, I feel the tools are very good.
My biggest complaint about the designer is that I would like to have the ability to create
stone and railroad tie walls automatically like JNSE. It kept the water and land
connection very clean and I hope JN7 will have it.
I am 61 years old and live in Tucson, Arizona USA.
I have a lovely wife and 3 kids (37,28,25). I play golf about 3 times a week and am a scratch handicap golfer. I play Titleist golf clubs
My favorite designers are: Brian Silvernail, Steve Opfer, Jeff Jones, Scott Chesney. Ken

offer and helps in getting new ideas.
